GGSS STUDENT CODE OF CONDUCT
In addition to a strict academic focus, GGSS emphasizes on the holistic growth and development of its students that is inclusive of intellectual, physical, social, emotional and spiritual growth of children. GGSS is an institute that promotes the values of responsibility, respect, civilization and academic excellence through an environment that not only encourages students to become productive members of the society, but also transforms them into agents of positive change during different phases of their growth, children are taught to be courteous, kind, thoughtful and honest not only towards their class follows and teachers, but to all of humanity without discrimination of gender, race,color cast, status or religion.They are encouraged to be gentle to the young and courteus to the old. Children are encouraged to take ownership of the outcomes of their behavior and feel proud of their academic institute, friends and teachers. GGS students are encouraged to rely on their own skills and abilities and believe in themselves. They are taught to be regular, punctual, hardworking and persistent.
Students are expected to follow GGSS guiding principles related to the classroom and campus code of conduct as communicated by their teachers. In order to clarify the behaviors expected from students the following guidelines are in effect:
General Conduct:
• All members of the school community are expected to behave in a courteous manner, equally with the old and young.
• All GGSS students should respect elders, listen with care and not interrupt when being spoken to.
• The use of polite and appropriate language, exhibiting respect for the feelings and needs of others is obligatory within campus premises.
• Cleanliness is to be observed by every member of the school community, within classrooms, corridors and playgrounds. Students are strictly forbidden to litter and should use dustbins and trashcans for discarding any sort of waste.
• Students are not allowed to chew gum anywhere on the school grounds or in classrooms.
• Use of electric toys/ games, portable CD/MP3 music players and cell phones are not allowed in school during class hours.
• possession of inappropriate literature, including but not limited to, CDs, tapes, pictures, notes or other offensive material is prohibited.
• Dancing damaging or stealing of school property will not be tolerated; no will improper behaviour that disturbs or interferes with the operation of the school,classrooms or school assemblies.
• Activities such as wrestling, tackling,tripping, kicking, pushing, fighting, running in the hallways, and using inappropriate language are not allowed anywhere within the school premises.
• Acts of hate violence intimidation or threats against students or staff are grounds for suspension and possible expulsion of the students.
• Use of potentially dangerous objects such as rocks, sand,dirt,glass clods,seeds, glass and sticks; in any manner that could cause serious injury, is strictly prohibited.
• No weapons, weather real orl look alike, such as guns, knives, firecrackers or any such instrument, maybe brought into the school premises at that time.
• Matches, lighters, drugs, tobacco and alcoholic products and chemical substances are equally barred from the campus.
• Smoking is strictly prohibited for all members of the school community. Violation to this may result in expulsion of the student from the school.
• Students should walk and pass quitely in the hallways so as not to disturb others, avoiding running in the hallway, stairs, classrooms and building.
• Students are not allowed to exchange money or indulge in any trading activity within the school premises.
• All students should leave the school building by 2:30 P.M.. unless under direct supervision of teachers.
