ADMISSION & REGISTRATION

Firstly, the name of the applicant is registered in order to commerce the registration process
Following the registration, the applicant is given a receipt along with the registration form.
On completion of the registration, the applicants are given a date for the admission test, depending upon the availability of the seats in the class.

Admission Assessment Test

Any prospective student seeking admission in GGSS must qualify the assessment test and/or an interview in order to be given admission.
In addition to passing the assessment test, the applicant must provide the school leaving certificate or the progress and promotion report from the previous school/ college attended, in order to be eligible for admission in the next grade.
The assessment tests are journal in nature and are aimed to evaluate the applicant's suitability for the recommended grade and are only designed to understand the academic needs of the applicants, areas of strength and study support.
The assessment is based on the general understanding and knowledge of the subject level for the grade The applicant is seeking admission for As a result of qualifying the admission assessment/ test and/or interview, admission shall be granted into the grade applied for.
The possibility of accepting the applicant in any other grade will not be considered unless the student is re-registered and re-assessed for the particular grade.
For inter board transfers, students are also expected to obtain a 'No Objection Certificate' from the previous board within Pakistan, before applying for admission at GGSS.
GGSS reserve the right to accept or refuse registration and/or admission to any applicant without assigning any reason or clarification

GGSS Pre-School Program

(2 ½ plus years to 5 years plus)
Children ranging from the age of 2 ½ plus years to 5 years plus are allowed to take admission in the Preschool.
Admission to the play group is granted solely on First-Come-First serve basis due to a limited number of seats.
Admission in Play Group classes is open throughout the year, in case of vacant seats.
Informal interviews shall be conducted to assess whether the child qualifies for admission or not. The informal assessment is conducted for Pre School classes along with an interview of the parent/guardian.
The informal assessment is to test the reading ability of the child, vocabulary and recognition of words, concepts of colours and numbers.
The conference and development of motor skills is also assessed.
Appearance, mannerism and behaviour of the child is also taken into consideration at the time of interview.
An appointment is given for the parent to meet with the head of the preschool, at the time of admission.



GGSS Junior School Program

(Grade 1 to 5)
The admission test for GGSS to Junior School comprises of mainly 3 subjects:
1 . English
2 . Urdu
3 . Mathematics and Science
The admission assessment test are not set from any specific text books or syllabus but are of a journal multiple choice questionnaire design to test the attitude of the tired and his/ her academic ability.
For the written, students should come properly equipped with the required stationary i-e pencil eraser, sharpener, and ruler.
50% or above marks are required for a student to be considered eligible for admission.
The previous academic record of the child also taken into account, at the time of admission. The child may be exempted from the Admission Assessment Test if he/she has exhibited outstanding academic results in the previous academic year.

Other documents required for the assessment test are:
Original result card from the previous attended School.
Written school leaving certificate from a registered and recognised institute.
In case the above mentioned documents are not provided, the school does not take responsibility for registration of the student with the local Examination Board.

Documents Required At The Time Of The Admission
Parents should fill the Student Admission Form in the office.
If necessary, admission form must be issued with deadlines of 2 - 3 working days.
Parents should be instructed to attach the following documents with the admission form
4 passport size colour photograph
Student Form B Copy or Copy of original Birth Certificate
Copy or Parent Guardian CNIC
Previous school leaving certificate

After the submission of duly filled admission form, the applicant is issued a student fee bill.
Upon payment of admission fee in the bank, Accounts department will enter the admission fee bill in the admission /release register and allot a roll number to the student.
A student file is opened by placing admission form, requisite document and original fee bill in it.
